Location:
Located in the central heart of La Digue at La Passe just 1km from the jetty, the Bernique is a family run guesthouse. La Digue is a small Island and every corner is within walking distance, but most people in La Digue use a bicycle as matter of transport. With the bicycle it takes only a few minutes to reach the most beautiful, world-famous beaches, where one can swim, snorkel, surf or simply relax on the soft sandy shore.
How to get there:
Take a taxi from Seychellles International Airport or from your Hotel in Mahé to the Inter Island Jetty in Victoria. From there take «Praslin Express» (schedule: http://www.praslinexpress.com/ ) or «Cat Cocos» (schedule: http://www.catcocos.com/). Both are highspeed catamaran-ferries, that bring you first - on a 50 minutes trip - to the island of Praslin. «Praslin Express» continues from there its trip to La Digue. If you take «Cat Cocos» you have to change boat in Praslin to continue with „Cat Roses"(schedule: www.seychelles.net/iif/start.htm) the 20 minutes trip to La Digue.
By plane and boat
Take a domestic flight from Mahé to Praslin (15 minutes). From Praslin Airport take a taxi to the Praslin Jetty. From there take «Praslin Express» or «Cat Roses» to La Digue.
From La Digue Jetty to Bernique Guesthouse
For the 1 km trip you can take a taxi or even a traditional oxcart, that will bring you in a 15 minutes ride to the Bernique Guesthouse. Bernique Guesthouse can be contacted for taxi or oxcart reservation.
